Globalisation - The production, distribution, and consumption of media products on global scale, facilitating the exchange and diffusion of ideas cross-culturally. However, some have argued that media is actually a partial cause of globalisation, rather than just anther globalised industry. Media is largely a cultural product, and the transfer of such a products likely to have an influence on the recipients culture increasingly, technology has been propelling globalisation.
Instagram -
Companies use Instagram in order to post images and videos to advertise and promote products and events. For example, Corsair like to take promotional photos of their products or release short videos, these can also be done as "reels" in order to reach a larger audience. Moreover, through stories companies can post links to playlists, channels and other accounts which is a good use for synergy but also they can post questions for users to answer, these could be a great way to do primary research on a large scale which is also cost effective.
Customers use Instagram as a form of communication and entertainment, this is because can post photos about their days and share them with people, but also view other people's posts. They may also use it as a form of shopping as especially clothing brands will show off new items then have a built in link to their website so people can buy their clothing. Moreover, if people wish to talk to many people at once, they can livestream in which people can view and engage with the people that are streaming.
